Cometh the hour, cometh The Right Man.

A Saturday’s racing action, in which going played a major part, delivered a huge win for Lap Of The Odds followers when The Right Man (advised at 28/1) landed a gamble in the Al Quoz Sprint on the Dubai World Cup card.

In a bizarre weather swap, the drying sunshine at Newbury scuppered our hopes there, but a downpour in Dubai played perfectly into the hooves of French-trained The Right Man.

The cash poured in with the rain and he was backed in to 12/1. Always handy tracking hot favourite Ertijaal, he struck for home and held off a late challenge to win in a photo finish.

After yesterday’s 14/1 Beer Googles win, another hammer blow for the bookies ensures Lap Of The Odds will secure a tidy profit for March.
