Mane Overboard

Well, that didn’t go well.

Lap of The Odds suggested Monday a Sadio Mane double strike (Sadio at the Double?) may be the way to be financially involved in last night’s Leicester/Liverpool clash.

Instead it was the Leicester players, and their talisman Jamie Vardy in particular, who impressed, winning the game 3-1 with Vardy scoring in each half. Mane, by contrast, was largely ineffective and substituted early.

Is there anything we can learn from this game?

Well, after impressing against Spurs last time out it’s clear Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team have become too inconsistent to rely heavily upon as far as betting is concerned. A sign is now flashing – Leave Well Alone.

One match may be too early to call the end of the crisis for the Premier League’s defending champions, but the victory moves Leicester out of the relegation zone. If they can continue to play with such determination then more victories look likely in the near future, probably starting with Saturday’s clash with Hull.
