Premier League leaders Chelsea travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham later Monday, and will start as hot favourites to extend their already healthy seven point lead.
The Hammers managed to defeat Chelsea 2-1 in the League Cup back in October last year, but the Blues put out a weakened side on that occasion, something that is unlikely to be repeated this time around.
Sure to be a fiercely contested clash, with tackles flying in, one betting angle worth considering is Chelsea defender Gary Cahill scoring at any time during the game, probably from a set-piece.
Cahill has scored 22 goals in 226 games for the Blues, roughly one goal in 10. But this ratio reduces to one in 6.5 games over the last two years, and an even better two goals in his last four games against West Ham.
This is still an unlikely event, but probably not as unlikely as Paddy Power’s 10/1 odds suggest.
Recommendation: Cahill to score at any time at 10/1 Paddy Power
