England will play the West Indies at the Kensington Oval in Barbados later Thursday, hoping to complete a 3-0 whitewash of this 50 overs cricketing series.
The tourists have won the previous two clashes in Antigua, not through the aggressive batting that the side has become known for but more by patience and experience given the slow, turning wickets on which the games have been played.
The Kensington Oval pitch is likely to be quicker than the tired strip in Antigua, and some recent rain–as my parents have informed me about as they holiday on the island–could result in a green tinge to the track. This would provide early help for the seamers.
England’s strong line-up can yield runs from anywhere, the Windies however are more fragile, and early wickets could leave the middle order exposed quickly.
Jason Mohammed has top scored for the Windies in both of the previous two games, batting at five, and is 8/1 with Bet365 to do so again. That seems to offer real value given the 5-1 generally available elsewhere.
Recommendation: Mohammed to top score for West Indies at 8/1 Bet 365
