The big clash north of the border today sees Rangers travel to Celtic Park for the latest instalment of the Old Firm Derby.
Fiercely contested this game may be, but the results have become more onesided of late, with Celtic winning four out of the last five league meetings and five of the last six at home,. This includes a 5-1 thrashing in September.
The last time Rangers won at Celtic Park was October 2010, although it has to be pointed out that they did spend some of this time in lower leagues.
The scourge of Rangers this season has been Celtic’s French striker Moussa Dembele, with five goals in three games. Dembele has scored 32 goals this season, including 17 in the league.
Dembele is widely quoted at 3/1 to be the first goal scorer in today’s clash. Paddy Power quotes the striker at 4/7 to score at any time during the game. This implies that if he does score then it’s around 6/4 that he scores the first goal.
This seems a good price given his record.
Recommendation: Dembele to score first in Old Firm Derby at 3/1
