Cheltenham Day 3: Percy Mercy…

A chilly but exhilarating day’s racing saw the dynamic duo of Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins drive an unstoppable juggernaut through the major races after an unusually disappointing first two days.

For Lap Of The Odds, we found salvation in the long-time darling of the blog, Presenting Percy, who shrugged off weight issues under a masterful Davy Russell ride to land the Pertemps at a juicy 11/1.

The day saw a further win for selection Let’s Dance, who stayed on well under a rampant Ruby.

Four more selections hit the frame, which although frustrating, will have rewarded each-way backers of Bouvreuil and Potters Legend, who were both traded at double figure odds.

With Wednesday’s damage fully repaired, we are set fair for a tasty Friday Gold Cup card.

Stay tuned for our Gold Cup preview coming later this evening, and the rest of the Friday card which will be available on the morning.
