The highest profile match in the Premier League Sunday is the top four clash at the Etihad Stadium, with Liverpool travelling to take on Manchester City.
While acknowledging the risk of sounding boringly repetitive, Raheem Sterling is quoted at 11/4 to assist the scoring of a goal at any time during the clash.
Regular viewers of these pages will know that we think this bet is often overpriced, with Sterling having now assisted a goal in seven out of his last 11 league games, more of a 4/7 shot. (Sterling Assists….Again.)
It’s true Liverpool may provide a stern test for the home side, having won the last four league clashes between the two sides, but the Reds have hardly looked defensively strong of late. And the last time Liverpool won an away game in the Premier League was the Merseyside derby in the middle of December.
Sterling will be keen to play well against his former side, and the 11/4 Paddy Power offers that he assists the scoring of a goal seems an attractive price.
Recommendation: Sterling to assist a goal at 11/4, Paddy Power & Betfair
