Barcelona travel to Turin tonight to take on Juventus in the quarter-final of the Champions League – a repeat of the 2015 final.
The Catalan giants won that clash 3-1, but times change and we at Lap of the Odds HQ look for The Old Lady, as Juventus is nicknamed, to gain some revenge.
Juventus are unbeaten in the last 17 home games in the Champions League, and have conceded the fewest number of goals in the tournament this season, just twice in eight games. They have also won their last four Champions League games, the longest run in the competition.
Now it is Barcelona that travels to Italy, a side which has reached the quarter-finals for the tenth consecutive season, scoring 26 goals, the most this season. However, they are vulnerable away from home, having lost three of their last four four away games in the knockout stages, including a 4-0 thrashing in Paris last round.
While Juventus have a very strong defensive record–they haven’t conceded a goal for 351 minutes–it’s difficult to see Messi & co. being kept quiet for 90 minutes. We will be looking to Juventus to win the game, with both sides scoring.
Recommendation: Juventus to win with both sides scoring at 5/1, widely available
