This evening’s late game in the Premier League sees Burnley travel to Selhurst Park to take on an inform Crystal Palace team.
Both teams are still threatened by the spectre of relegation, although one more win should be enough to ease those worries.
The home side lost midweek to title chasing Spurs, but that narrow defeat shouldn’t remove the gloss surrounding a run of six wins in nine league games. On top of this, Palace are unbeaten in 10 league games versus Burnley, including keeping seven clean sheets.
The Clarets, by contrast, are trying to avoid a third consecutive defeat. They have the worst away record in the Premier League, with their hopes of avoiding the drop solely based on their impressive home form.
This all points to a home win, but we at Lap of the Odds HQ don’t think this will be a high scoring affair. Burnley have scored just twice in their last six games, while only three of Christian Benteke’s 14 league goals have come at home – and he is Palace’s main source of goals!
We suggest taking the 6/1 that Bet365 offers on a 1-0 home win.
Recommendation: Crystal Palace to win 1-0 at 6/1, Bet365
