IPL Cricket: Pandya can leave RCB extinct

The table-topping Mumbai Indians are on a roll, and today (1130 BST) they host the Royal Challengers Bangalore who look destined for elimination after a rotten run of results.

The Indians’ success is built on an aggressive batting line-up that bats deep through the order, and a fine array of bowling talent.

Given RCB’s batting agonies, wickets might flow throughout the innings making death bowling experts Bumrah and McClenaghan short enough to top the Indians’ bowling.  Spinner Krunal Pandya has twice earned that accolade in 8 appearances and 11/2 looks a fair price.

The Indians batting always offers up some fun as they go hard and fast from the get-go.   Parthiv Patel and Nitish Rana have been the form players at the top of the order, with big stars Buttler and Sharma being more hit and miss.  Middle order bashing comes from Windies star Kieron Pollard and the Pandya brothers.

Krunal Pandya makes another appearance on our radar then, with 16/1 to be top batsman with Bet365 looking tasty when he is a general 10s and 12s elsewhere.

Pandya is therefore 11/2 to star with the ball, 16/1 to star with the bat – both look some value – he is also 16/1 to be named man of the match which allows for a star performance with either bat or ball, or indeed the half-rice half-chips option of a bit of both.

Recommendation:  Krunal Pandya, Man of The Match, 16/1 Bet365
