Manchester United travel to Spain tonight to take on Celta Vigo in the first leg of the Europa League semifinal.
This will be the first time the two sides face each other in competitive action.
The Red Devils are in good form, being unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions, and potentially welcome back a number of key players from injury.
Celta Vigo, by contrast, have lost their last three games, and have dropped to 11th in La Liga. That said, the Spanish side have clearly prioritised the European competition, and have rested players as appropriate.
United start the game as clear favourites to progress, and this competition now represents their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
We at Lap of the Odds look for United to perform well tonight, helped by the play of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian midfielder opened the scoring in the away leg in the last 32 game against St. Etienne, did the same in the last 16 clash versus Rostov, and again in the quarterfinal against Anderlecht. We’ll take the 7/1 he does so again.
Recommendation: Mkhitaryan to open scoring at 7/1, Paddy Power
