That’s a nice way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon.
First up for us was John Constable in the Swinton Hurdle at an advised 8/1 (Saturday Races: Tempest to Storm Home). Well backed into 5s he was an armchair ride for top jockey Davy Russell, winning this competitive race by 14 lengths without ever coming under a ride.
All eyes then turned to Ascot for the Victoria Cup where we had entrusted Josephine Gordon to steer home our pick Fastnet Tempest over the straight 7 furlongs.
Always travelling well, Josephine steered him through a convenient gap at the furlong pole, and subscribers, finally getting a bit of luck in running, were able to start calculating their winnings well before the line.
Advised at 11/2, he was backed into 5/1 favourite.
Well done, if you backed them both, even more well done if you dared to double them at around 58/1 at advised odds.
