Premier League: From a Distance…

Today’s early kickoff in the Premier League sees Manchester City host Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The hosts lie in fourth place in the league and a win today is seen as important in cementing Champions League qualification.

Leicester, on the other hand, have little to play for as the impressive run of form since Craig Shakespeare took over has removed the threat of relegation. That said, the Foxes have a good record against Manchester City of late, beating them 4-2 in December and winning at the Etihad last season.

The incentive of top flight European football must push the home team on today, and we at Lap of the Odds expect a comfortable home win.

One of the key players for the home team this season has been midfielder Kevin de Bruyne. He has weighed in with a league-high 15 assists this season, as well as scoring five goals, including one last time out.

He is quoted at 13/10 with Paddy Power to provide an assist at anytime during the game. That has some appeal, but we are going to take a punt on the Belgian scoring from outside of the penalty box, which Paddy Power prices at 16/1.

Recommendation: Kevin de Bruyne scores from outside the box at 16/1, Paddy Power
