Tuesday Races: Rooster to crow

It’s a quiet Tuesday quality- wise, and we will make another trip to Yorkshire and the delights of Beverley, hoping to build on the success of yesterday’s headline tip,  Crowned Eagle

This lovely track exhibits some regular biases.  The most well-known is the benefit of a low draw, particularly over short trips.  But equally notable is how much the track tends to favour front runners over longer trips.

The course is on the turn most of the way, sweeps downhill entering the closing stages and cambers into the rail, all of which can help a well-judged front running ride.

One horse who should love the terrain is the wonderfully named Ronnie The Rooster (1630 BST).

Ronnie has run well in his appearances so far this season and was a shade unfortunate to be caught on the line when trying to make all at Redcar last time.

This race looks no stronger than the Redcar event, and if Ronnie can get loose on the lead then he can finally earn the victory his good form this season has deserved.

Recommendation:  Ronnie The Rooster (1630 Beverley), 3/1 generally available
