Tonight’s Premier League match sees Tottenham travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City.
This is a clash between two in form sides. The Foxes could win six consecutive league games at home for the first time since 1966, while Spurs have lost just one of their last 11 Premier League games.
That said, all four of Tottenham’s defeats have come away from home and they did lose last time out at West Ham.
Tottenham will be keen to end the season strongly given last season’s meek surrender, while Leicester will want to put one over a side destined for the Champions League, a competition they graced this year.
With the potential of an end of season fiesta, and with little to pick between the two teams, we fancy a few goals on the night. The likes of Kane and Vardy are priced appropriately, but Paddy Power looks to have offered a rare gift with a price of 11/1 about Spurs midfielder Eric Dier scoring during the match.
Not only does Dier offer occasional free-kick threat, he is also a regular nuisance at set pieces where Leicester are missing some key defenders. Also, Dier looks likely to desert his regular holding midfield role for a position at right back, a marauding role for Spurs that could see his threat from open play enhanced.
Most other bookies look more on the mark in the 5/1 to 7/1 range, we will hope to cash in on Paddy’s unlikely largesse.
Recommendation: Eric Dier, Anytime Goalscorer, 11/1 Paddy Power
