Don’t get excited Corbyn fans (plural?), that’s the end of the month of May, not Theresa May, and the winning Red was our selection Socialites Red (Wednesday Races: Go On Red Alert…).

Steered by useful apprentice Rowan Walsh, Red was always in the front rank, and having won the speed battle with the favourites, had enough in hand to hold on by a diminishing short head from the fast finishing French.

Advised at a morning 11/2, she was well backed to 4/1 at the off, and ended a roller-coaster, and ultimately successful month of May on the high note it deserved.
