This week the European Tour hosts the BMW International Open. Held just outside Munich, this is the only Tour event played in Germany.
Defending champion Henrik Stenson and Masters champion Sergio Garcia are two of the big stars lining up to take on the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried course.
Garcia has a strong record at this event, boasting five top 15 finishes from eight starts, while Stenson will be gunning for his third victory.
Looking at the course itself, it measures just over 7200 yards with generally wide fairways – favouring long hitters.
Tommy Fleetwood will be buoyant after his strong showing at the US Open, another course which had length to the benefit of those that hit it a mile. While there may be some concerns over how much he has left to give after playing in the final groups at Erin Hills, he is a young man and at 20/1 we will be getting a healthy price.
Additionally, we at Lap of the Odds are going to take a punt on local boy Marcel Siem, who learnt to play his golf at this course while his parents ran the restaurant here. SkyBet offers 80/1, with each way terms of 1/4 the odds for the first six places.
Looking at the course itself, it measures just over 7200 yards with generally wide fairways – thus favouring the long hitters.
Recommendations: Fleetwood 1 pt to win at 20/1, generally available, and Siem 0.5 pts each way at 80/1, SkyBet
