Sunday Races: Nag to sprint home…

Ireland once again provides the quality to a Sunday card with some fine racing at the Curragh.

Great friend of the blog, Naggers, represents his in-form yard in the Rockingham Stakes (1445 BST).  This will be a career first run over the minimum 5f having plied his trade mostly at 6f.

He has looked hugely progressive, will enjoy a bit of cut in the ground, and travels well enough to think he can be effective at this shorter trip given the galloping nature of the track.

He looks a fine bet and worth a healthy investment.

Back at Windsor, the feature 1m handicap (1540)  looks an ideal chance for promising 4yo Chelsea Lad to regain the winning thread.

He was unfortunate to be pulled up on seasonal debut, but put that behind him with a high quality 2nd last time.

This is a lower quality affair and a repeat of his last effort should be enough to prevail.

Recommendations:

Naggers, (1445 Curragh), 1pt win, 4/1 Paddy Power.

Chelsea Lad, (1540 Windsor), 1pt win, 9/4 Paddy Power.

Naggers & Chelsea Lad, 1pt win double, approx 15/1
