Chisnall to Chuck Norris Out

The Darts World Matchplay second round continues in Blackpool with some tantalising ties in store.

The last 16 shows a mixed bag in relation to form and ranking with nearly all of the top ten still in the hunt.

The one shock so far was Gary Anderson losing to Daryl Gurney but the Northern Irishman was quietly fancied in several quarters given his impressive form this season. He is destined for the upper echelons provided his finishing continues to improve to match his heavy scoring.

For Tuesdays action we believe another high scorer, Dave Chisnall, will have too much firepower for Alan Norris. Chisnall has been frequenting the latter part of several tournaments of late and he is a stand out pick to beat Norris by more than 3.5 legs at odds against. He has disposed of Norris with minimum fuss in their previous meetings and we expect more of the same tonight.

Overcoming an obdurate Mervyn King in Round 1 Chisnall looks primed to go deep in the competition in an open part of the draw.

Equally the battle of the veterans sees Phil Taylor take on Ray van Barneveld and “The Power” will be keen to sign off on his last appearance with a notable scalp. While Barney struggled past Joe Cullen in the first Round, Taylor coasted to victory over Gerwyn Price and he is a form pick to overcome Barney -2.5 legs @ 5/4.

Recommended Bets:

1pt double Dave Chisnall -3.5 legs vs Norris & Phil Taylor -2.5 legs vs Van Barneveld @4/1
