Not before time after a rocky Summer, but we dust off the bullion picture as loyal subscribers had a big Saturday primarily courtesy of headline racing pick Masham Star. (“Saturday Races: Mash Up to be on song…”)
Mark Johnston’s hardy 3yo nearly landed us a huge double in August, and returned to similar conditions we felt he warranted only the third 3 point bet advised this year.
Our confidence was matched in the market as he crashed down from 11/1 to half that price, although a late drift allowed a still generous SP of 8/1.
The race itself was a bit too close for comfort, but Masham Star got up to win and land a much needed 33 point gain.
The day already had a gilt edge after our first dip into this year’s Vuelta Espana stage betting had continued the cycling success of last month’s Tour de France thanks to the breakaway victory of 11/2 win bet Rafal Majka.
The Autumn has so often been a time for harvest in our betting, and this was a much needed first crop.
Stay tuned for more.
