The European Tour heads to Switzerland this week, with Crans-sur-Sierre hosting the European Masters.
Set in the Alps, this picturesque course spends half the year covered in snow, but is one of the most popular courses on the Tour.
Given the altitude length is not an issue, instead we are siding with players with sound approach play and good putting strokes.
First up is Matthew Fitzpatrick. The English player showed signs of form last week although the rain-sodden long course didn’t play to his strengths. He has played well here before, finishing one shot off the lead two years ago, and we will take a chance on his solid short game helping him to victory.
Next is the young Spaniard Adrian Otaegui. He won his first professional title in August, clinching the Paul Lawrie Matchplay with a blizzard of birdies to turn around the final after falling three down after nine holes. We hope this type of shot making can be replicated this week.
With the US taking a break this week, we’ll invest another point in Europe. This selection is a blast from the past, but we hope Luke Donald‘s majestic putting stroke will come to the fore this week.

Otaegui 0.5 pts each way at 40/1, SkyBet
Donald 0.5 pts each way at 80/1, SkyBet
