Kerching!! 10/1 Fizzy Kola was worth the wait…

Arsenal made heavy weather of dispatching Cologne at the Emirates in last night’s Europa league opener.

For Lap Of The Odds subscribers however, the Gunners first half travails, that saw them go in trailing 1-0, was a Godsend.  The stuttering display prompted an uncharacteristic early change from Monsieur Wenger, with the addition of Sead Kolasinac triggering both a change in formation and a rapid change of fortunes.

It is lucky September for us, and having advised Kolasinac as an anytime goalscorer (“Europa League: Side with Sead….”), to get 45 minutes off the bench was certainly a stroke of good fortune.

As it happens, the big Bosnian bomber needed only 4 of those minutes before crashing home a volley that triggered happy scenes at the Emirates, and delirious ones at Lap Of The Odds Towers.

The month that keeps on giving is only half-way through…..stay tuned.
