This week’s golf tournament on the European Tour takes place on the continent, in the form of the Italian Open.
The Golf Club Milano hosts the event, and is tree-lined, often narrow Parkland course. Accuracy off the tee is essential given these characteristics.
With this in mind, we at Lap of the Odds are going to turn to two favourites, Francesco Molinari and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Both players are renowned for their accuracy. Molinari has form at this course, he is the defending champion, while Fitzpatrick has been playing well of late although he hasn’t been in the winning circle since his trip to Switzerland a few months ago.
These two are among the favourites, but we think they will go well given these conditions.
