The Kansas City Chiefs renew rivalries against the Oakland Raiders in Thursday Night Football and this prime time matchup is just the tonic needed for Andy Reids charges to get back on track following their first defeat of the season.
Having started the season so brightly the Chiefs endured a torrid first half against the Steelers and only got going too late to register their first defeat – albeit denied by a fortuitous touchdown in the fourth quarter.
With Tight end Travis Kelce back to full throttle following the concussion protocol and no additional injury concerns it is all set up for a bumper night at the Coliseum.
For their part the Oakland Raiders have really struggled to build on their early season promise and with Quarterback Derek Carr still nursing a fractured back they look prime opposition for the Chiefs to immediately regain the winning thread.
His opposing number Alex Smith has been in superb form and allied to the powerful running back Kareem Hunt they will surely have too much firepower for the hosts.
With a spread of only -2.5 they are well worth a play. However given the porous nature of the Raiders defence it could be worth pairing them with a win and over the points line double.
