Sunday rolls around, and it’s time once more for our NFL beat the spreads treble.
First up the Atlanta Falcons travel to face the New York Jets. The Falcons got to the Super Bowl last year and the Jets, well they’re the Jets, so this should be an easy away win, right? Well, the bookies are giving the Jets a 6.5 point start, and we’re going to take that. The Jets aren’t that bad this season–they’ve won three out of seven–and the Falcons are 0-4 against the AFC East going back to the start of the 2016 season.
Next, it’s the Oakland Raiders at the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are looking to win their fourth straight home games, but now face a Raiders side that came to life against the Chiefs last Thursday. This looks like a close game, but with Raiders quarterback Derek Carr now back from injury we’ll side with the Raiders getting a 2.5 point lead.
Finally, and this may be a surprise, but we’re going to back the San Diego Chargers against the New England Patriots, admittedly with a 7.5 point head start. This game will be a real test for the Chargers defence, which has not conceded more than 26 points this season. If they come through, then Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers should be able to engineer enough points for that healthy points head start to count.
Recommendations: Jets, Raiders and Chargers to beat the spreads as a treble, 1 pt, at approximately 6/1, Paddy Power
