Tuesday Races: Harley can motor past Davison

We have been guilty in the past of being slow to embrace the more pantomime elements of horse racing.

However, the joys of cross country racing and the betting opportunities provided have opened our eyes to the value proposition when bookies know as little as punters.

We may not have extended this as far as the actual pantomime of the mascots grand national, but we are always on the lookout.

As such the annual flat jockeys hurdle race at Lingfield today was always going to garner our attention.

The favourite, the Zoe Davison trained The Games Is A Foot is a 10yo.  Whilst he comes here unpenalised for a recent win, that was a weak race and came at Plumpton where all 3 career wins have been earned, he could be vulnerable in this class at this track.

Capitoul will attract money for an in form yard but needs to have improved for his summer break. – which is possible.

We prefer the juvenile hurdler Amadeus Rox.  Trainer Alan King has his horses flying and this juvenile has placed in four maiden races,

He gets a massive weight allowance for his age and his debut handicap mark looks very workable.  Martin Harley knows the King horses well and has a fourth place in this race from his previous  visit.  All looks set for a good run.

Recommendation :  Amadeus Rox, (1420 Lingfield), 1pt win, 10/3 generally available
