The European Tour reaches its climax with the DP World Tour Championship, the final event in the season-long Race to Dubai tournament.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood leads the way from fellow countryman Justin Rose, with Spain’s Sergio Garcia the only other player in serious contention.
The course, just a pitching wedge outside of Dubai, is long at over 7700 yards, with numerous bunkers and plenty of water.
Defending champion is another young English golfer Matthew Fitzpatrick. Not renowned for his length off the tee, Fitzpatrick compensated with superb iron play. We’re reluctant to back him to do so again.
Instead we’ll side with yet another English golfer. Tyrrell Hatton has been on a tear over the last month or so, winning in Scotland and Italy and posting top 25 places in China, Turkey and South Africa. He also loves this course, having finished second last year and tied sixth in 2014.
Our second choice is Victor Dubuisson. The Frenchman has just started to hit form, finishing third last week in South Africa. He also has good memories of this place, finishing tied fourth last year and tied second in 2014.
Hatton to win, 1 pt, at 16/1, BetFred
Dubuisson to win, 1 pt, at 25/1, widely available
