Monday Races: Frank Expectations of a double

After a weekend of top class action things simmer down with a Monday at Leicester, Plumpton and Wolverhampton.

We’re heading to Leicester where we are hopeful of landing a double.

First up (1350) is a horse who owes us plenty as he looked all set to land us a big bet at Cheltenham last time before unseating 3 out.

High Expectations has been in good form on the flat and showed that can be translated to hurdles before coming to grief.

It is significant that trainer Gordon Elliott brings him back over from Ireland in search of this good ground.  A bigger field would be better but he should have a ton in hand and can win easily on route to better things.

Later (1520), Fair Frank looks to follow up a cosy debut chasing win.  He was a surprise winner at Southwell but it was no fluke as he jumped fluently in front to beat some in-form rivals.

Conditions here look similar and on a course that suits pace-setters, and against an arguably worse line-up than last time, the 6lb rise should be easily overcome.

The double makes lots of appeal.

Recommendation:  High Expectations (1350 Leicester), & Fair Frank (1520 Leicester), 1pt win double, approx 17/2
