Premier League: High-flying Gross to star

The extended Premier League weekend ends tonight as Brighton hosts Stoke.

The hosts are riding high in ninth position in the league, vying to stretch their unbeaten run to five matches. A win would enable the Seagulls to equal their highest posts tally after 12 top-flight games, 18 points.

Stoke, on the other hand, lie just three points above the relegation zone. And while they beat Watford 1-0 in their last away league game, the Potters haven’t won successive away trips since October 2015.

Stoke do have a good record against Brighton, but we look for the home team to prevail tonight. With this in mind we will take a punt on home midfielder Pascal Gross winning the man of the match award.

Gross has been a relevation since moving from FC Ingolstadt in the summer, scoring  twice and assisting the scoring of a goal five times in his 11 games.

Recommendation: Gross to win man of the match, 1 pt, at 9/1, BetFred
