The Champions League returns this week, with three of England’s representatives playing tonight.
Premier League leaders Manchester City have already qualified for the knockout phase having won their opening four matches, and now face Feyenoord.
There is a risk City rest a few players, especially as they face 12 games in the final six weeks of the year. And while they should still have too much for a side which has lost all of its Champions League games this season the odds don’t offer value. We’ll leave alone.
Next Liverpool travel to Spain to face Sevilla. The two sides drew 2-2 in the opening game in the group, with Sevilla scoring a late equaliser.
The Reds were in the middle of a dodgy spell at that time, but have started to play well as they have got injured players back up and running. A win here would put Liverpool through as the group winner with a game in hand, and we think they can do this.
The third game sees Tottenham travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund. Spurs have already qualified for the next round and a win would guarantee top spot.
Dortmund, on the other hand, have disappointed this season, collecting only two points from their four games.
Spurs were disappointing in defeat on Saturday, and will be looking to bounce back by winning tonight.
Recommendation: Liverpool and Tottenham to win as a double, 1 pt, at approximately 8/1, William Hill
