The NFL serves up three tasty Thanksgiving ties as the play off hopes of several big guns come keenly into focus.
First up is the NFC North Divisional Match Up as the Detroit Lions host the in form Minnesota Vikings.
With the Lions running game all but non existent and the Vikings ranking second in the league on the ground, this game will come down to quarter back Matt Staffords accuracy. And it is something that has been in superb form of late.
The talisman is more than capable of delivering on the big occasion with an exemplary record against the Vikings to boot. Home advantage and an odds against quote for the win make the Lions appealing to continue their good form in a divisional grudge match.
We then move on to Texas where the Dallas Cowboys look to keep their season alive against a rejuvenated L.A. Chargers. What a difference a year makes, with Ezekiel Elliot missing and the offensive line crumbling the Cowboys quarterback protege Dak Prescott has struggled horrendously in the past few games.
He now faces two of the best pass rushers in the league – Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram – and it is hard to see him come out the right side of it. For the Chargers Philip Rivers has overseen a real turn around as they have bounced back from losing their first four games to only sit two wins off the ailing Chiefs in the AFC West.
They look all set to cover a 2 point head-start to the Cowboys.
Finally the Redskins host the Giants and while they should win I do not expect them to cover a 7.5 head-start.
With the Giants grinding out a win last week, and their much touted defence turning in a display, the injury riddled Redskins are hard to fancy against the Spread.
A sickening late defeat to the Saints last Sunday has left their post season ambitions clinging to a thread and a win of any means will more than suffice on a short week.
Recommendation: Detroit Lions to win vs Vikings, San Diego Chargers win -2.5 points vs Cowboys & N.Y Giants +7.5 points vs Redskins. 1pt treble, 13/2 generally available
