Premier League: Vardy to have a party in London…

The Premier League weekend starts early, as West Ham host Leicester later Friday.

This will be new manager David Moyes’s first home game in charge since replacing Slaven Bilic. He will be desperate to stop the rot that has produced West Ham’s second worst start to a Premier League season.

That said, there are reasons why West Ham have started so poorly, namely they have the worst defensive record in the league and have only scored 11 goals in 12 games. It may be too early for a new manager to change these basic flaws.

They now face a Leicester side on a six-match undefeated streak against the Hammers, winning five. The Foxes will be looking to record three successive away victories in this fixture for the first time.

James Vardy has caused many problems for the home side of late, scoring two and assisting for two goals in the last four league games. We’ll take him to cause a bashed up defence more heartache, winning the man of the match award.

Recommendation: Vardy to win man of the match, 1 pt, at 5/1, BetFred
