Premier League: Lukaku and Kane to celebrate…

This afternoon’s Premier League fixtures sees three of the league’s elite playing at home.

The first two see Manchester United host Brighton and Tottenham entertain West Brom. With due respect to both visitors, these are games the big boys should win, and the bookies have priced accordingly.

As a result we’ll look a little closer to try and get some value.

United may have disappointed midweek in Europe but they looked back to their best for periods last weekend against Newcastle. The difference – Paul Pogba. His return from injury is huge, and we think he will galvanise a strong United performance today. The main beneficiary of this could be Romelu Lukaku. We expect the big Belgian striker to score today.

Tottenham also should have too much for West Brom. This Baggies team has not looked as defensively strong as has been their recent trademark. This has resulted in the departure of experienced manager Tony Pulis. Spurs, fresh off a good away win in Europe, could put a few past the downbeat visitors. Harry Kane has scored 39 goals in 38 competitive fixtures for Spurs this year, and we confidently look for him to net again.

The third game sees Liverpool host Chelsea in a late afternoon blockbuster. We’ll deal with this game in a later post.

Recommendation:

Lukaku and Kane to  score anytime in a double, 2 pts, at approximately 7/4, widely available
