A Saturday treat for us NFL fans, with a couple of games scheduled for this evening.
The first game sees the Chicago Bears travel to Detroit to take on the Lions.
The home team have to win if a playoff place is to remain a possibility, as they currently stand at 7-6. They have to overcome a five point handicap to beat the Bears, but with quarterback Matthew Stafford showing his class in last week’s win over the Buccaneers, we think the Detroit Lions can do so.
The second game is a crucial top of the group clash in the AFC West.
The Los Angeles Chargers started the season poorly, losing their first four games. But things have changed, and they are now just one game away from topping this division.
They now travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. By contrast, the home team started the season on fire, winning their first five games. A slump followed, but their last win against the Raiders showed a team back on form, dominating all three phases of the game.
Kansas can be one of the most intimidating venues, and the Chargers have lost seven in a row to the Chiefs. We’ll take the home team to make it eight, especially receiving one point in the handicap.
Recommendation: Lions and Chiefs to both cover handicaps as a double, 1 pt, at approximately 5/2, Paddy Power
