Premier League: Mahrez to light up King Power

The Premier League weekend starts at the King Power Stadium, as Leicester City entertain Crystal Palace.

The visitors are in the middle of an unbeaten run of six games, including a dramatic win against Watford midweek. Yet while they have picked up back-to-back draws away from home, they have yet to score an away goal in the league this season.

They now face a Leicester side approaching their explosive best. The hosts have won their last four games, and have beaten Palace in three out of the last four meetings, drawing the other.

We take Leicester to win again, and look for Riyad Mahrez to weave sufficient magic as to be awarded the man of the match crown. The Algerian magician has scored in three of his last four games.

As for the three o’clock games, SkyBet have been kind enough to provide to price boost for the treble we were thinking of.

Arsenal hosts Newcastle in desperate need of a boost. They have gone three games without a win, but now face a side who have only claimed one point from the last 24. Surely a home win beckons.

Chelsea welcome back top scorer Alvaro Morata for their home game with Southampton. The visitors were well beaten by Leicester on Wednesday, and another home win looks likely.

Finally, Watford will want to bounce back from Wednesday’s late defeat at Palace with a win at home over Huddersfield. The visitors have secured just one point from their last seven away games, and a home win is expected.

SkyBet offers 4/1 that the three home teams win, a boost from around 2/1, and we will be on that.

Recommendations:

Mahrez win man of the match, 1 pt, at 5/1, Paddy Power

Arsenal, Chelsea and Watford all win as a treble, 1 pt, at 4/1, SkyBet
