The best is saved for last as far as Saturday’s Premier League program is concerned, with the evening game seeing leaders Manchester City hosting Tottenham Hotspur.
City have been fantastic this season – they top the table by 11 points and have won 15 league games in a row.
That said, Spurs could be regarded as something of a bogey team for the leaders. City have not won any of their last four Premier League games against Tottenham, losing three, while Spurs have won 10 away games at City, more than at any other club.
But that represents history. Spurs aren’t in top form at the moment – they haven’t won an away league game since their visit to Huddersfield in September. And their away record against the ‘big six’ under manager Mauricio Pochettino is not good, to say the least!
We’re going to take City to win, with their Spanish midfield general David Silva dominating proceedings. Silva has scored four times in the last three games, and has contributed eight assists this season. We think he’ll take the man of the match honours.
Recommendations: David Silva to win man of the match, 1 pt, at 6/1, William Hill
