Premier League: Top strikers to shine

There are two Premier League games to enjoy this afternoon, both between relegation-threatened teams and Champions League contenders.

The opening game sees Manchester United travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Brom.

The home team lie one spot from the bottom of the league despite the introduction of new manager Alan Pardew. That said, they performed with credit in securing a goalless draw at Anfield midweek.

Scoring goals has been a problem, and at home they will have to press a little. This could suit United, who have plenty of pace up front to cause the Baggies trouble. We see an away win here.

The second game sees Liverpool traveling south to take on Bournemouth.

The Reds will be disappointed with how the last couple of games have gone. They would have been expecting six points from two home games against Everton and West Brom, but struggled to break down two teams that sat back very deeply.

However, this game against Bournemouth may be just the tonic as the home team are unlikely to sit in. They will come at Liverpool, creating the opportunities for the visitors to pick them off.

And Paddy Power have offered an opportunity to take advantage of this thinking. They have boosted the price of Romelu Lukaku and Mohamed Salah both scoring at any time in their respective games, to 5/1 from 100/30. We’ll be on that.

Recommendation: Lukaku and Salah to score at anytime as a double, 1 pt, at 5/1, Paddy Power
