Premier League: Wayne’s world…

The latest round of Premier League fixtures ends tonight, as Swansea head to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

The appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager has galvanised the home side. They have won three successive home games, and have collected 10 points in their last four league games, more than they won in their previous 12.

Swansea, by contrast, have lost their last five away games. They are firmly rooted at the bottom of the table, scoring just nine goals all season.

This all points to a home win. In addition, Everton talisman and granny’s darling Wayne Rooney has hit top form. He has scored five goals in his last four games, including the opening goal on two occasions.

SkyBet has boosted the odds of Rooney scoring the first goal tonight to 11/2, from 9/2, and we’ll take a punt on that.

Recommendation: Rooney to score first, 1 pt, at 11/2, SkyBet
