Friday Races: Naire do well….

With the weekend almost in sight, Ascot offers up a Friday teaser before the big Saturday card.

Today’s races are packed full of interest, but for value betting it is worth waiting for the closing event (1540).

This is traditionally the strongest UK bumper run in the first half of the season, and the usual big guns are well represented.

Henderson runs 260K purchase Gallahers Cross who must have a big chance. Posh Trish gets a small gender allowance, and could compete, whilst Didtheyleaveuoutto brings a tall reputation.

All those options look useful, but we like the look of Bullionaire who comes here having had just one race when comfortably winning a big Newbury bumper last Spring.

That was a fine effort in a big field and he can be expected to improve.   Harry Fry’s best horses are running really well and we think we can steal another bumper here before facing the obstacle.

Recommendations:  Bullionaire (1420 Ascot), 1pt win, 4/1 generally available
