Tuesday sees the first leg of the first semifinal of the League Cup, with Bristol City traveling to Manchester City, having already disposed of the other Manchester giant in the previous round.
Bristol City were superb in the previous round and are flying high in the Championship, reaching the semifinal of a major cup competition for the first time since 1989.
However, we can’t help but feel that the key to this match is how seriously the Premier League leaders take it. Pep Guardiola has suggested that he could field a strong side, and if the Man City manager does then surely victory will follow.
Paddy Power offers odds of 19/5 that Man City score in both halves while winning at least three corners each half. We think it’s likely that the home team dominates possession and will take those odds.
Recommendation: Man City to score in both halves and win at least 3 corners each half, 1 pt, at 19/5, Paddy Power
