League Cup: Stamford Bridge stalemate

The second semifinal of the League Cup sees a big London derby, with Arsenal traveling to Chelsea for the first leg.

The teams have met twice in the league this season, with both games ending in stalemate – a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge followed by a 2-2 classic at the Emirates.

Chelsea will start the game as favourite, but they were without talisman Eden Hazard at the weekend and may miss him again tonight. Arsenal have injury worries as well, but Wenger will be desperate to keep this game alive as his best chance of silverware in what is looking increasingly likely to be a swansong season.

With this in mind, and given the likelihood that Arsenal will play in a more defensive manner ahead of the second leg, we going to go for another draw tonight ahead of more fireworks next time out.

Recommendation: Chelsea/Arsenal to end in a draw, 1 pt, at 11/4, Paddy Power
