This evening sees the first replays from the third round of the FA Cup weekend. We had some difficulties judging how strong the sides would be the big teams would put out, but with the replays the managers now have time to adjust and we expect most senior teams to progress.
In the televised game Leicester City now host Fleetwood Town. In the first leg we expected striker Jamie Vardy to put his former team to the sword – he didn’t play! This time round Vardy is likely to start and this should be enough to give the home side the edge.
The second game sees West Ham entertain Shrewsbury. The Hammers were simply awful in the first game and surely can’t play as badly again. They will undoubtedly by buoyed by a 4-1 away win at Huddersfield in the Premier League over the weekend, and we expect them to progress tonight.
Our final game sees Cardiff travel to One Call Stadium to take on Mansfield Town. The first tie ended in a goalless draw in Wales, and Cardiff will have it all to do to get through. That said, Neil Warnock is a canny manager and we think he can plot an away win.
Betting on these three teams to win as a treble would ordinarily generate odds of around 3/1, but SkyBet offers up a boosted price of 5/1. We’ll be aboard.
Recommendation: Leicester, West Ham and Cardiff all to win as a treble, 1 pt, at 5/1, SkyBet
