Tonight sees the second leg of the second semifinal of the League Cup, with Arsenal hosting Chelsea and the tie nicely balanced after a goalless first leg.
These teams have met three times already this season, and have drawn all three times. Be prepared for another evenly fought match!
That said, while the two games at Stamford Bridge were goalless, the previous match at the Emirates finished 3-3. As Arsenal commit bodies forward they are not as adept at keeping the back door shut. We at Lap of the Odds think this could play into the hands of Chelsea’s speedy forwards.
The Blues ended a run of five consecutive draws at Brighton over the weekend, with Eden Hazard playing a starring role. We think the Belgian will bring his best form to the game tonight, and take the 4/1 that he is named man of the match.
Recommendation: Hazard to win man of the match, 1 pt, at 4/1, Paddy Power
