We’ll have a seat in the stands at Leopardstown today for a fantastic card of top class racing. For legendary owner JP McManus, however, we recommend he simply takes a seat in the winners’ enclosure as he may be in for a day to remember…
The Daily Yankee:
A Great View (1425 Leopardstown) 8/1: Newbury winner Total Recall is 31lbs lower here over hurdles than his chasing rating, he is priced accordingly but that doesn’t always work. A Great View ran a blinder here over Christmas and is reasonable value to upset the odds.
Sutton Place (1500 Leopardstown), 10/3: A top class novice chase, but Barry Geraghty’s mount is probably the one true 2m4f horse in a field of mostly 3 milers. That speed may be enough to prevail in what should be a cracker.
Anibale Fly (1535 Leopardstown), 11/2: The Gold Cup, and with Our Duke needing to bounce back and Killultagh Vic still having plenty to prove over fences, this can go to the rapidly improving Anibale Fly in a race with plenty of deadwood.
Hell’s Kitchen (1610 Leopardstown), 9/2: We don’t consider UK horses well treated in Ireland, but this is a massive horse, with a raking stride, who has plenty of untapped promise. His Kempton win last time is working out very well, and Barry just needs to see a stride at his fences to muscle this boy around without incident.
Roll 10 onto;
Alletrix (1240 Leopardstown), 10/1
Anibale Fly (1535 Leopardstown), 11/2
Espoir D’Allen (1315 Leopardstown): 4/5
Samcro (1350 Leopardstown), 4/6
Hells Kitchen (1610 Leopardstown), 9/2
Cumulative odds approx 1100/1
