After a Saturday of near misses it was pretty much Midas touch all the way for blog followers on Sunday.
Horses kicked off the day in outstanding fashion with the easy win of 2 point nap Alletrix at Leopardstown. Whilst the 10/1 lasted barely 90 minutes from blogging, 7/1 was broadly available until a plunge of late money saw her go off at 4s.
Then it was football’s turn and a manic match at Anfield. Our 7/2 recommendation of a scored penalty looked like being a frustration when Harry Kane missed one on 89 minutes. Thankfully he was given another chance to land our pick with the last kick of the game. Thanks Harry….and thanks ref !
Our new in-running golf strategy saw us pick out big hitting Gary Woodland at 33/1 prior to the last round in Phoenix. Cue a birdie blitz and a play-off win. We suggested the 33s, but it would have been nicer if we hadn’t bottled it and pulled our bet down to a 3/1 Top 5 placing pick !!
And then the Eagles. A dramatic Superbowl LII has us on tenterhooks deep into the early hours and nursing heavy heads and heavy wallets as both our winning margin pick (13/5) and touchdown scorer/winning team pick (6/1) added the cherry on top of a memorable day.
Please can we do it all again (but drinking more water …..)
