Premier League: Look for a Ramsey rocket…

Saturday’s Premier League program starts  with a real bang, the North London derby at Wembley.

The three points on offer today look highly significant. A Tottenham victory would push them into a Champions League spot, at least until Liverpool and Chelsea play, and would increase the gap to Arsenal to seven points. An Arsenal win would close the gap to their North London rival to just one point.

Arsenal looked very impressive  in dispatching Everton last weekend, with new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan settling in nicely. That said, it’s been the away form which has been the problem. The Gunners are winless in 15 Premier League away games against the current top five clubs. Still, Arsenal did win the reverse fixture 2-0 in November and are unbeaten in their last nine matches at Wembley.

Spurs played well in patches in the controversial draw at Anfield last weekend, having beaten Manchester United the game before, and are unbeaten in eight league matches. But they  have drawn three of the last five.

This game is tricky to call, and although Spurs start as favourites we find it hard to ignore the optimism surrounding the Gunners. We think there will be goals in the game, and look to Arsenal’s in form Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey to follow last week’s hat trick with a goal today.

Recommendation: Ramsey to score at anytime, 1 pt, at 9/2, bet365
