Champions League: Salah’s case for a brace…

It’s Liverpool‘s turn to enter the knockout phase of the Champions League tonight, as they travel to Porto.

The two sides have met four times before in European competition, with Liverpool yet to lose, although both games in Portugal ended in draws. That said, this will be Liverpool’s first match in the knockout stages of the Champions League since 2008-09.

Will the Reds be able to conquer their nerves to show their undoubted class – after all they scored 23 goals in their group, a record for an English club?

Porto have a strong record this season–they are yet to be beaten in domestic competitions–but they lost games to Besiktas and RB Leipzig in the qualifying group.

We think Liverpool are a step above those sides, and thus expect the Reds to make chances tonight. Mo Salah has been in exceptional form this season, and we’ll take the 8/1 that Betfair offers (fixed odds) that the Egyptian magician scores a brace.

Recommendation: Salah to score a brace, 1 pt, at 8/1, Betfair
