Thursday Yankee: Evening all…

We don’t fancy the small field heavy ground action over jumps today.  So we’ll be turning in the overtime slip and heading to Chelmsford’s evening all weather card for our selections.

The Daily Yankee:

Cainhoe Star, (1930 Chelmsford), 7/2:  Has been running very consistently of late and application of cheek pieces could tease out a bit more improvement. Spare Parts is on a roll but now two stone up from the turn of the year (no detox Jan there…).

Harbour Patrol, (2000 Chelmsford), 3/1:  Our Nap pick runs off the same mark as when a near 3l winner at Wolverhampton last week.  A strong pace here can only help this free-going sort and any improvement just rubber stamps his claims.

Binky Blue (2030 Chelmsford), 11/2:  Started life rated mid 60s and 21 defeats later started a winning burst off 47.  After rising to 71, it’s 28 defeats later and we are finally back to 49.  May have done a whole lot better at Wolves last time but for an “interesting” ride and in a race of professional losers she’ll be tasty if the money’s down.

Koubba (2100 Chelmsford), 6/1:  Volturnus  is all the rage after a 12l romp last week, but that may not have been much of a race and several of these hold him on earlier form, notably Koubba who looks to have loads of untapped promise. Yard in form and came very close to getting today’s Nap pick.
