The Champions League continues tonight, with Manchester United‘s visit to Sevilla the highlight.
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides, but it’s United and manager Jose Mourinho who hold the cards in terms of experience.
Sevilla have never made it past the last 16 in this competition, while Manchester United have three titles to their credit, the last time being in 2008. And in Mourinho they have a manager who has already won twice, with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.
Mourinho’s trademark is to base his team’s performance on a tight defence, particularly in away games, while looking for an away goal.
Sevilla have a strong home record in this tournament, but this team perhaps isn’t as powerful as some that went before. That said, United have only won one of their last six knockout games.
Bearing all this in mind, we at Lap of the Odds think a draw is the most likely result tonight. We’re tempted with the 1-1 score, but instead we’ll take the 23/10 available on a draw.
Recommendation: Draw, 1 pt, at 23/10, BetFred
