“Better late than never!”
Geoffrey Chaucer is reputed to be the first person to put this proverb into print as part of his Canterbury Tales, circa 1386. And it was the first thing that came to mind while watching the Champions League football last night.
Lap of the Odds had suggested a double of Lionel Messi scoring for Barcelona against Chelsea and Robert Lewandowski scoring a brace for Bayern Munich against Besiktas. (Champions League: Watch out for star strikers…)
With three goals (at least) needed, having to wait until the 75th minute for the first was a little tense! But class players that they are, the two strikers delivered to ensure subscribers netted a 9/2 winner.
This continues a good February for our football tipping, with winners including Wigan’s victory over Manchester City at 22/1 (Kerching! Subscribers celebrate 22/1 Wigan win) and Sergio Aguero scoring a hat trick at 11/1 (Kerching! Aguero hat trick nets 11/1 pick…).
Keep tuned in for more value selections.
